INTERPRETATION

In these conditions, “BUYER” refers to the person, firm or company entering in the contract to purchase goods from the Seller. “CONDITIONS” means these Standard Terms and Conditions of Sale and any Special Terms which are agreed in writing before the sale. “GOODS” means the goods which the seller is to supply. “SELLER” means JSK Precision Tools Limited.

BASIS OF THE SALE

The Seller shall ‘sell’ and the Buyer shall ‘purchase’ the Goods. These Conditions shall govern the Contract between the Buyer and the Seller and shall constitute the entire agreement in relation to the sale of Goods. The Seller shall not be liable for any advice or representation given by the Seller or its employees or agents to the Buyer which is not confirmed in writing.

ORDERS AND SPECIFICATIONS

The quantity, description and any specifications for the Goods shall be those set out in the Sellers quotation (if accepted by the Buyer) or in the Buyers order (if accepted by the Seller), but the Seller reserves the right to change the specifications of its Goods where these changes do not materially affect their quality or performance. Orders must be confirmed in writing.

PRICE OF THE GOODS

The price of the Goods shall be the Seller’s quoted price, or where no price has been quoted, the Seller’s then current list price. All quoted prices are valid for 10 days from date of quotation reply. Carriage is not included in the list price. The seller reserves the right to increase the list price with prior notification to the Buyer.

GUARANTEE

The Seller guarantees that the Goods shall confirm to their specification at the time of delivery and shall be free from damage. Any claims for loss or damage of Goods during delivery will be assessed individually by the Seller, and notification shall be given to the Buyer of the outcome. The Seller accepts no responsibility for the Goods delivered to the Buyers specification and are deemed faulty directly based on the information provided by the Buyer.

The Buyer must raise faults with the guarantee within 7 days of receipt of Goods.

DELIVERY

Delivery shall be made by the Buyer collecting the Goods at the Sellers premises, or by the seller despatching the goods via any means it deems appropriate to achieve the required delivery target to the address requested by the Buyer. For more information on specific delivery details, please see “Carriage” below.

CARRIAGE

Carriage will be charged at the terms agreed with each Buyer by prior notification, unless a special delivery is required whereby the carriage terms will be quoted to the Buyer by the Seller.

RETURNS:

At JSK we hope that you are happy with your purchase. However, we know that sometimes you will need to return an item. If you are unhappy with your goods for any reason, you can return your item to us (This does not affect your cancellation rights under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013).

We are happy to offer an exchange or refund on unused items returned within 14 days of purchase.

Damaged/Faulty Products

Any claim for goods damaged in transit or shortage must be made in writing to the carriers and ourselves within 3 days of receipt of the goods, otherwise we cannot accept any responsibility for loss or damage. Invoice number, Product Code, Reason for Damage and where possible images must be forwarded to our email.

JSK will only accept return of goods under the following criteria:

  1. Items are checked thoroughly upon delivery. The condition of the goods becomes the responsibility of the buyer immediately upon delivery to the buyers’ address. We will not accept return of any goods that have been transported elsewhere after delivery.

  2. Goods being returned must be in their original packaging. Therefore, it is advised to take care when opening the boxes/cartons to keep all the packaging intact. We cannot accept returns that do not have their original packaging.

  3. We will only accept goods, for return, by prior arrangement with the authority of JSK, where a collection note has been raised. We will not accept any goods without an official collection note. Collection notes must be signed by the customer.

  4. Items must be packed and ready for collection on the agreed date. We reserve the right to refuse incorrectly packaged items. If the item is not available for collection it will be assumed a credit is no longer required and the credit note will be cancelled and no credit given.

  5. If damaged item is not available for collection from delivery premises, replacement item will be invoiced. Once damaged item is received, credit note will be issued.

  6.  will examine and quality control all returns. Once the defective item is accepted a credit note will be raised to the customer’s account.

Failure to comply with the above procedure will result in goods not being credited or replaced. Where orders have been correctly executed by us, goods may only be returned with our prior written permission. A deduction of a least 5% will be made from the credit note as a handling charge. No credit notes can be issued until the goods are returned to our warehouse, well packed to avoid further damage.
